Marta house is perfectly located for sightseeing tours on the Golden Circle and the South Coast and northern light´s watch,time of northern light´s are now. The house offers great views over Iceland’s most famous Volcanoes, Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull (2010 eruption) and is right at the banks of Ölfusá river – one of Iceland’s many Salmon rivers. In winter the house is an ideal base for Northern light hunts. Other popular activities include sightseeing (http://awi.is/), glacier walks on Sólheimajökull and daytours to the Vestmaney Islands. The beds can be joined together upon request to make double beds.
Keep in mind that the nature in Iceland can be rough, and weather is ever changing. Warm clothing and walking shoes are a must, especially for hiking, trekking or glacier-walks.
